About Us  Our Dogs and Our beautiful King Sized Shepherd Puppies
We are a small breeder of large Shepherd Dogs on the shore of Lake Osoyoos in North Central Washington State. Our goal is to produce only one excellent litter of King sized Shepherds puppies each year so we can raise them as true family dogs and give each puppy the time and attention necessary to adapt to their new world as loving wonderful companions with well adjusted temperments.  We are also focused on the health and life span of our dogs.

It has been a very scary experience with people from the King Shepherd Clubs that are allowed to breed any dog they choose with out meeting any standards or testing of DNA or other health issues. It seems that lately there has been more health issues with the King Shepherds being bred, due to these people who breed multiple litters every year for profit without any concern for the pups they are breeding or the people they are sold to. The gene pool of the King Shepherds is still very small, and with the lack of selective breeding and testing, I no longer feel safe mixing my dogs with any of these other dogs. The founder of the breed has falsified so many pedigree records that there are dogs out there registered as King Shepherds that nobody can find who they really are or where they came from.  Many large GermanShepherds were purchased by the founder and registered as King Shepherds with ficticious pedigrees. In the case that of my dogs produced something as awful as EPI would be spayed/neutered accordingly. Currently many breeders are breedong these dogs anyway and producing unlimited carriers of this disease for which there are currently no genetic tests available. This puts the whole future of this kind of dog at risk.

My goals for breeding very large solid beautiful long-coated Shepherds has not changed. But the dogs in our future will be AKC and UKC registered German Shepherds.  They will all have their hip evaluations posted on this web site and be DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy as well. I have never has a Mega-E pup or an EPI pup out of my dogs, but these things have become common problems with many King Shepherd breeders.

So if you do chose to buy a King Shepherd from a registered King Shepherd breeder.... Please do your research first and ask to see proof of health testing. There is nothing worse than falling in love with your beautiful new pup and then discovering he has some awful disease that may take him from you.

Please do ask about contracts before you purchase. I failed to do so with Royal Majesty King Shepherds and paid dearly for this.
Our first King Shepherd, Denali came to live with us in the spring of 2004. He was a very big boned wonderful dog that we just could not get enough of. Five months later we bought Logan as a breeding match for Denali. And now we have added two of the most beautiful sweet German Shepherd Dogs I could find to improve out future breeding and puppies.
